The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)confirmed that 23 more people were diagnosed with Ebola on April 26, a record number for one day, according to an article on the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy website.

The new outbreak brings the total cased to near 1,400. The fatality count reached 900.
The 23 new cases are from eight locations, nine of them in Katwa, the scene of one of the recent violent episodes.
