Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine Readers Award Wattstopper with Two Product of the Year Awards

Legrand, North America announced that two of its Wattstopper® products, the Wireless Receptacle Controls (WRC) Series and FSP-201 outdoor sensor received the 2016 GOLD Award and SILVER Award in the Lighting Controls category, as voted by Consulting Specifying Engineer readers in its annual Product of the Year contest. These two Wattstopper products exemplify the breadth of its code-compliant, cost-effective and proven indoor and outdoor lighting controls.

“We want to thank the more than 309,000 engineers in the commercial buildings and facilities marketplace who cast their votes,” said Jim Young, Vice President of Marketing, Building Controls Systems division at Legrand. “Wattstopper has a valued legacy of delivering control solutions that are energy-efficient, easy to install and use, ensure maximum flexibility, and that meet the ever-evolving code requirements of our industry.”

The Gold Award-winning WRC Series leverages lighting control sensors for improved ROI. Designed to be the easiest, lowest cost retrofit solution for plug load controls, it brings huge energy and cost savings potential in integrating lighting and plug load control. Available in two versions, the WRC Series offers more options to meet desired project goals.

The Silver Award was given to the FSP-201, which mounts in an outdoor lighting fixture to provide multi-level control based on motion and/or daylight contribution. Part of the award-winning FSP-200 Series product line, the FSP-201 provides an expanded choice of operating voltages from 12 to 32 VDC. It is IP66 rated (when mounted within a fixture), simplifies compliance with ASHRAE 90.1/IECC (2012) and California Title 24 (2013) garage and outdoor lighting requirements, and using the Wattstopper handheld wireless configuration tool (FSIR-100) simplifies ladder-free configuration.
