DAQ Electronics, a leading manufacturer of high-end security software and equipment, announced today that the company’s credential management and access control solution has achieved full certification through the Government’s Federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (FICAM) program. This certification now appears on the General Services Administration (GSA) Approved Products List (APL) and allows Federal agencies to select the DAQ system when implementing Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) into their security infrastructure.
By utilizing the StarWatch™ SMS security management suite in conjunction with EntroStar® access control hardware and the HID Global pivCLASS® credential platform, system users can meet the access and identity assurance needs of even the most stringent Federal Information Processing Standard Publication 201 (FIPS 201) compliant environments. FIPS 201 is a Government standard specifying Personal Identity Verification (PIV) requirements for federal employees and contractors who are required to access federally controlled facilities and information systems.
Christopher Sincock, Vice President, Security Business for DAQ, commented, “We are excited to receive this certification as it allows us to continue to deliver the high level security systems and services we have provided to the Federal Government for more than 25 years”.
