Patient input helped designers to create an innovative facility. The William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital in Dallas won a Rising Star Award for its design.
Patients suggestions led to:
• A separate discharge exit with designated parking and a pathway that avoids public spaces
• More comfortable furniture in patients' rooms, based on options that families were able to test
