Some states are starting to develop quality initiatives that include higher reimbursement for communities that respect and support resident intimacy and some facilities are incorporating conjugal visit rooms onsite for couples to use. An expert challenged designers to find an alternative to the "privacy curtain," in semi-private rooms.
