A series of rooms created out of rigid foam panels in an empty store in Wadena, Minn., are helping te staff and design team of the Tri-County Health Care clinic and hospital create an efficient, effective space, according to an article on the Wadena Pioneer Journal website.
In one room, a representation of each piece of equipment is in place to see if the space is adequate.
A patient family advisory group will also be asked to look at the mockups.
"We don't want to build the health care facility of the future without our patients being involved," said Thomas Pint, director of nursing services.
