Diversey President and CEO Wins Four Stevie Awards for Women in Business

Diversey President and CEO, Dr. Ilham Kadri, has won four Stevie® Awards: 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze in the 14th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. In addition to leading Diversey, she is the founder and first chairwoman of the ISSA Hygieia Network, a non-profit association dedicated to the advancement and retention of women in the cleaning industry.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world’s top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run. The 2017 awards received entries from 25 nations and territories and were presented during a dinner event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

Dr. Kadri accepted the following awards:

  • Gold for Woman of the Year (Industry)
  • Silver for Women Helping Women (Business)
  • Silver for Female Executive of the Year (Business Products – More than 2,500 Employees)
  • Bronze for Maverick of the Year

“I joined the cleaning industry just four years ago, so it is an honor to receive these accolades for my dedication to Diversey’s employees, customers and the many women working in low-level cleaning roles,” said Dr. Kadri, President and CEO, Diversey. “I look forward to helping Diversey continue to push boundaries within the commercial cleaning industry and working with the Hygieia Network’s key stakeholders to combat illiteracy, increase networking, mentorship and educational opportunities for women and ultimately, advance women’s careers.”

This is the second time that Dr. Kadri has been recognized by the Stevies. In 2016, she took home four Silver awards. Since then, she prepared Diversey for a spinoff from Sealed Air in September 2017, helped secure a new headquarters for the company in York County, South Carolina and oversaw the publication of the Hygieia Network’s first book, “Invisible Heroes: The inspirational stories of 23 women (and 1 man) who clean our world.”
