A group of thieves broke into 18 vehicles that were parked at St. Francis Hospital.
Security footage shows a row of vandalized cars outside the hospital, News 3 reports. Piles of glass can be seen scattered across the parking lot. It is expected that even more vehicles were broken into in the parking garage.
Memphis police said that the thieves only got $5 out of a purse that they later dumped. Fingerprints were able to be secured from several of the victims’ vehicles.
“We are implementing additional security measures and asking employees to report anything that looks suspicious,” St. Francis Hospital said in a statement. “Patient, employee and visitor safety remain a top priority.”
