A man was found dead in a bathroom at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria, Ill., after being discharged from the emergency department the day prior, according to an article on the Becker's Hospital Review website.
The man was treated for a seizure and a cut on his chin and was discharged at about 4:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at 12:03 a.m. the next day after a hospital employee found him in a bathroom in the emergency department.
The employee said he saw clothing sticking out from under the door of the bathroom, opened the door and found the body.
