EIR Healthcare and McKissack & McKissack Unite to Bring 'Hospital of the Future'

EIR, the modular innovation firm bringing efficient industrial practices to healthcare, real estate and hospitality, today announces its strategic partnership with McKissack & McKissack, the nation's oldest minority-owned design and construction management firm. The primary focus of the relationship will be in the healthcare sector under the EIR Healthcare umbrella, bringing to life the vision for the "hospital of the future," creating modern, efficiently-built medical facilities with smart technology capabilities, built in less time and cost-effectively.

"Partnering with McKissack & McKissack felt natural given their finger on the pulse of construction and the proven track record across many construction projects, especially healthcare-related ones like Harlem Hospital Center and Henry J. Carter Hospital in New York City, and the new $700M Coney Island Hospital"  said Grant Geiger, Founder & CEO, EIR. "We're also strong believers in Cheryl McKissack's leadership of McKissack and know she will bring an important perspective to the types of projects we will be working on together in the coming months."

The joint venture will be focused on delivering modular medical units to both private and public agencies, such as FEMA and the Department of Defense. EIR will be leveraging McKissack for their specialized knowledge of project construction management, using their centuries-old legacy to deliver premium customer service, as well as vast experience providing a wide range of services to government agencies, municipalities, private institutions, and more. McKissack will be applying EIR's patented modular technology to up level its construction projects, allowing for more integration of advanced technology, all while vastly improving efficiencies in cost and timelines.

It should be noted that in addition to landmark projects in NYC, McKissack was the construction manager of the iconic $500M University of Pennsylvania Center for Advanced Medicine which Dean R. Robateau the current S.V.P. of Strategic Development was selected by Cheryl McKissack as the Project Manager.

"We're excited to bring inspirational projects to life that shift the way that the construction industry thinks about healthcare projects – and other projects for that matter," said Cheryl McKissack Daniel, President & CEO of McKissack & McKissack. "If there's a way to improve industry standards to ensure premium quality, successful projects, we're interested. We believe partnering with EIR is the way to do it."
