While there are plenty of products claiming to reduce falls in healthcare environments,the key is to balance the latest new products with a complete fall prevention strategy, according to an article on the FacilityCare website.
“There’s a lot of interesting technology, but many [companies] are putting out the products and marketing it without studying it, and that’s the downside,” said Dr. Rein Tideiksaar, president of FallPrevent LLC, a consulting company.
Facility managers need to ask the right questions when considering new fall-prevention products.
