Florida has opened its first mobile hospital unit outside a Tampa Bay area hospital, according to an article on the News Channel 8 website.
The 15-bed unit was up and running in late July are workers finished connections for water, power and installed patient equipment.
The state is providing all staff and equipment for the mobile unit.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had requested five mobile intensive care units through direct federal assistance in March.
