Ben Taub General Hospital among those that evacuated its patients


Ben Taub General Hospital, one of two top-tier level 1 trauma centers in Houston, had to its patients in Harvey's wake, according to an article on the Campus Safety website.

Flooding in the basement has left patients and staff with only two days’ worth of dry food, one day worth of chemotherapy treatments and compromised pharmaceuticals.

Water and sewage was waist-high in some areas.

At the time of the evacuation, the hospital had 360 patients, with 17 or 18 on life support.
