Healthcare delivered in a damaged hospital, field hospitals and pop-up clinics in the Bahamas

It was estimated that 90% of equipment and supplies – and all the hospital beds – in Rand Memorial Hospital on Grand Bahama Island were damaged

But on the worst-hit islands in the Bahamas, medical providers are continuing to provide care, in tremendously difficult circumstances, according to an article on the DirectRelief website.

Direct Relief is working with the Bahamas’ Ministry of Health, hospitals, and medical groups to deliver $470,000 in medicines and supplies to communities affected by Hurricane Dorian.
