Patients are shopping for and expecting value and convenience from their healthcare providers, so a more patient-centered, family -focused perspective has evolved.

A superior patient experience depends on: caring staff, patient-centered operations and well-designed facilities, the article said.

Successful healthcare facilities must be flexible, multipurpose and technology-enabled spaces.
