Healthcare landscape architecture awards program announced

New competition will focus on landscape architecture in acute care, senior living, and behavioral health facilities.

A new 2013 awards program focusing on landscape architecture in healthcare will recognize exceptional designs in acute care, senior living, and behavioral health, according to an article on Healthcare Design magazine's website.

Vendome Group, publisher of Healthcare Design,  is launching The 2013 Landscape Architecture Awards for Healthcare Environments in conjunction with The Center for Health Design (CHD) and The Society for the Advancement of Gerontological Environments (SAGE). 

Each of the award categories is aligned with Vendome’s top healthcare brands.

Design firms and facilities/communities are invited to submit exterior landscape architecture projects that have been completed since January 2008; projects in progress or on the boards will not be reviewed. A nonrefundable submission fee of $350 is due with each reservation, according to the article.

Submitted PowerPoint presentations must include a site plan, photography, narrative, and responses to jury questions, and may not include mention of firm names. All participants will receive instructions with more details and tips for preparing presentations. Entry forms and submission fees are due on Sept. 20, 2013. Presentations are due Oct. 18, 2013.
