High-Performance Buildings event to include session on study of IEQ, WELL Building Standard, BREEAM and ASHRAE Standard

The event will be held in Arlington, Texas, on May 17-18, 2017

This year's High-Performance Buildings + Workplaces event will include a session on study of IEQ, WELL Building Standard, BREEAM and ASHRAE Standard.

It is widely known that buildings have the potential to cause great swings in the performance of occupants. Owners and occupants of buildings have the common financial goal of economic returns, yet efficiencies have traditionally been measured in energy use. Decision makers have been reluctant to use human productivity as a tool because it has been hard to measure. With over 25 studies completed, capped by a landmark Harvard Study, the jury is in. There is a spectacular relationship between indoor air quality and human cognitive function, unleashing an entirely new set of economic considerations when operating commercial property.

Learning objectives:

1. Learn about the most current industry research surrounding health and wellness trends in commercial real estate.

2. Analyze the new WELL Building Standard.

3. Review the new BREEAM USA Standard.

4. Understand key components of the ASHRAE Standard 188

The session, scheduled for May 17 at 9:00 a.m., will be given by Jake Steiner, Regional Manager at Healthy Buildings.

The event will be held in Arlington, Texas, on May 17-18, 2017.
