Honeywell announces portfolio upgrade To Webs-Ax building automation system to include award-winning Redlink Thermostats

By Healthcare Facilities Today

MINNEAPOLIS — Honeywell recently announced the expansion of its WEBs-AX™ web-enabled building automation system to include Honeywell's award-winning line of RedLINK® thermostats, including the Prestige® thermostat and the All New VisionPRO® 8000.

Ideal for light commercial applications, the Prestige and the All New VisionPRO thermostats offer ease of installation utilizing Honeywell’s RedLINK wireless technology which provides superior signal strength and has been proven to work in light commercial building applications. With simple integration into WEBs-AX, the RedLINK thermostats now provide a scalable solution for building owners giving them an easy and cost-effective migration path towards total building automation.

WEBs-AX integrates easily with the RedLINK thermostats by utilizing a RedLINK hardware option card and software driver that connects to a wireless gateway which communicates with the thermostats.  By integrating the thermostats with WEBs-AX, building owners can cost-effectively expand their system to include energy management, remote monitoring, integration to disparate systems such as lighting, security, refrigeration control, and irrigation systems, for example, and thus provides a single interface to manage single or multi-site buildings.

Honeywell’s WEBs-AX and RedLINK thermostats:

· A scalable light commercial solution

· Wireless technology for ease of installation

· Remote access and monitoring

· Total building system integration

· Energy and operational savings

·  Single and multiple-site connectivity

“Whether you manage a small business, a small office building, or countless other small to mid-size buildings, you want to maximize your energy costs,” said Larry Weber regional general manager of Honeywell Building Control Systems. “With the integration of WEBs-AX and RedLINK thermostats, you can ensure the comfort of your staff and guests while receiving a great return on investment through short payback time.”
