Taunton, Mass., is ready with a mobile hazmat tent to move coronavirus patients in Morton Hospital without putting anyone else at risk, according to an article on the Taunton Press website.
The yellow hazmat and decontamination tent is equipped with a warm-water shower system and a conveyor belt onto which a patient lies to be transported into the building.
Fire department officials said although the yellow tent has not yet been put into service the department does training exercise with it each year.
Plus, the hospital’s off-white mobile tent is heated and would be used for routine tasks such as patient registration.
