Many healthcare facilities are reviewing their disaster and emergency plans in the wake of the recent spate of mass shootings, according to an article on the Fierce Healthcare website.

In addition to preparing for a sudden influx of patients, hospitals are also training personnel how to respond to an active shooter or terror attack.

Recently, the federal government released a bulletin calling on hospitals to review their disaster plans,.

Systems should be tested and updated constantly from IT departments to accounting to the business office.
