Salem Township Hospital in Salem, Ill., is bracing for disruptive construction work at the hospital starting in March, according to an article on the WJBD website.
The hospital will be making mandated health life safety improvements. The project will focus on getting the firewall partition updated in the main corridor of the lobby area. The third phase will finish the sprinkling system.
The hospital's president said the project will be a 'mess of epic proportions' because walls, cabinetry, and ceiling tiles will all be impacted.
The board room and offices will be unusable for a period of time. The gift shop and coffee shop will be closed. Admitting also will be temporarily closed.
