Improved user experience, powerful integration offered with Kantech’s EntraPass version 6.04

Tyco Security Products has announced the release of version 6.04 of Kantech’s EntraPass security management system featuring a redesign of the EntraPass Go mobile app that streamlines security tasks to bring together door controls, live video and intrusion on a single, simple-to-manage home screen.

Managing various day-to-day security tasks is made easier under EntraPass Go’s new side bar and home page including the addition of intrusion operations for arming and disarming partitions, ability to connect and stream live video from exacqVision, swipe-and-lock, and quick-action door controls.

This newest version of EntraPass continues to build on its integration with Tyco Security Products’ DSC PowerSeries Neo intrusion system adding virtual zone capabilities that allow the DSC intrusion panel to take information from an access control system and transfer the information to the central monitoring station. Key to this feature is the ability to eliminate dual sets of sensors for access control and intrusion — now the information for both can be transmitted via the access control sensors from EntraPass to DSC PowerSeries Neo and on to the central station. This gives the monitoring center better and more accurate information for improved situational awareness. EntraPass 6.04 also provides an IP-based link between the panels to complement the traditional hard-wired option.

The integration of exacqVision video management system (VMS) into EntraPass 6.04 combines video into access control for seamless management and monitoring of building entry points. Kantech EntraPass Go provides exacqVision customers with the ability to view a list of connected cameras and stream live video from exacqVision on the home screen. Users can view critical video details as close as desired with the new interactive pinch to zoom functionality.

The intuitive EntraPass Go mobile app even remembers a user’s last actions, returning to the last door or camera touched for improved continuity. The app allows for easy click-through and drill-down capability among the individual components, displaying all the cameras and partitions available.

“EntraPass 6.04 is a highly capable integration platform that allows users to put together a total integrated solution that operates from a mobile, web or traditional client,” said Rajeev Dubey, senior product manager Tyco Security Products, Kantech. “The redesigned app elevates the user experience to another level. Just by opening their app, a security manager can respond to a call while also viewing video, granting access, opening doors and even disarming the entire security system, if necessary.”

EntraPass 6.04’s improved web client offers the same powerful intrusion features provided by the mobile app, as well as enhanced video playback and export capabilities, which allows users to zoom in and out in the playback mode and download video clips.

Download the freely distributed Kantech EntraPass Go app for iOS (Apple) devices from the iTunes App Store.
