Increase in healthcare facilities driving the hospital lighting system market

Hospital lighting systems cover both the interior and exterior lighting


A report by P&S Intelligence says the global hospital lighting system market generated $5,328.1 million in 2017 and is further projected to grow at a CAGR of 6.4% in the coming years, according to an article on the WhaTech website.

Hospitals are becoming more inclined toward adopting smart lighting solutions, which make it easier to control the lighting as per the needs of individual patients. 

Plus, the LED technology is able to provide a continuous stream of data from the building by making use of wired or wireless connectivity with sensors installed in lighting fixtures.

A number of hospitals are adopting cost-effective  lighting solutions (primarily LED lighting) for reducing the operational and maintenance costs and achieving high energy savings.
