Industry’s first retrofit fan coil minimizes facility downtime, maximizing revenue

International Environmental Corporation (IEC), the market leader in fan coil solutions, has developed the MiniReStoraMOD™, the smallest, minimally invasive high-rise fan coil solution in the industry, enabling easy and fast replacement for hospitality, multifamily and higher education applications.

Ideal for retrofit buildings, the MiniReStoraMOD has the ability to fit into any current space by sliding into the shell of an existing unit, avoiding the need to shut down an entire riser – which can often result in significant costs, downtime and revenue loss.  Furthermore, because of the ability to be installed using existing materials with minimal disruption to the existing space, the replacement minimizes the number of outside trades that need to be involved to complete renovation.

“Our customers needed a solution that allowed them to work within already existing smaller mechanical closets without sacrificing the outstanding sound and indoor air quality benefits of larger models.” said Rob Copeland, director of marketing at IEC. “The result is a unit that can be replaced within four hours, not days, eliminating the need to close down entire floors or rooms for renovation.”

The MiniReStoraMOD is an extension to IEC’s ReStoraMOD®, the first hi-rise fan coil designed specifically for hotel replacement projects, multifamily and higher education facilities, offering customers a smaller version without losing any of the features of the larger model. The MiniReStoraMOD replaces most existing hi-rise fan coils with the latest in energy savings and IAQ features, including optional ECM, closed cell insulation as well as minimized disturbances to surrounding wall and finishes.

The MiniReStoraMOD will be available beginning February 5, 2016 and will be represented at the AHR EXPO Orlando January 25-27. For more information regarding IEC MiniReStoraMOD or IEC’s suite of products, visit booth #1276 or visit www.iec-okc.com.
