The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers the free information to help healthcare facilities prevent infection and provide safe care. The downloadable guide is a summary of CDC's infection prevention and infection control guidelines for ambulatory care facilities. 

The guide provides basic infection prevention recommendations, revisits Standard Precautions as the foundation for infection prevention in any healthcare setting and provides links to guidelines and source documents for further study, according to Becker's.
