InterSystems named to Healthcare Informatics 100 list of top healthcare IT companies

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—InterSystems, a global leader in software for connected care, today announced it has been ranked the 30th largest healthcare IT provider by Healthcare Informatics, a leading healthcare industry publication. The 2013 Healthcare Informatics 100 ranks the top companies based on revenues derived from healthcare IT products and services earned in the United States in 2012.

InterSystems’ 2012 revenue from healthcare-related clients grew 14.1 percent over the prior year. It is the 15th consecutive year that InterSystems has appeared on this ranking of top healthcare IT companies.

InterSystems products and advanced technologies for connected care include InterSystems HealthShare, a strategic platform for healthcare informatics. It enables organizations to capture and share all patient data, and provides real-time active analytics that drive informed action across a hospital network, community, region, or nation. HealthShare facilitates strategic interoperability, coordination of care, population health management, and community engagement. In addition, InterSystems CACHÉ is the world’s most widely used database system in healthcare applications, and InterSystems Ensemble is a platform for rapid integration and the development of connectable applications.

“InterSystems has over 30 years of experience in healthcare informatics, and the world’s most successful countrywide and large-scale connected care systems are InterSystems-based. We provide the platform for many of the healthcare application vendors on the Healthcare Informatics 100, such as Epic and 3M Health Information Systems, as well as many of America’s best known hospitals and health systems,” said Paul Grabscheid, InterSystems Vice President of Strategic Planning. “We are seeing continued strong growth for our HealthShare strategic informatics platform, which enables healthcare professionals to capture and share patient data, provide more coordinated care, and improve patient outcomes.”

The 2013 Healthcare Informatics 100 appears in the June 2013 issue of Healthcare Informatics magazine. For a complete list of the Healthcare Informatics 100 winners, visit http://www.healthcare-informatics.com/hci100/2013-hci-100-list.
