Iowa Hospital adds 'safety room' store to facility

The Hannah Geneser Learning Center opened inside Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines


The Hannah Geneser Learning Center, a new safety store, opened inside Des Moines' Blank Children's Hospital recently – seven years after 4-year-old Hannah Geneser fell out of a third-story window at a  birthday party, according to an article on the KCCi website.

Hannah's silhouette is imprinted on the wall, and there's handmade artwork of purple butterflies. 

The store filled with items to keep children safe — such as window guards, helmets and car seats. 

All products are sold at a discounted price.
