The 9th Annual Joint Commission and Joint Commission Resources Emergency Preparedness Conference will take place May 1 and 2 in Las Vegas.


The 9th Annual Joint Commission and Joint Commission Resources Emergency Preparedness Conference will take place May 1 and 2 in Las Vegas.

"Is Recovery Ever Really Over?" is the conference theme, and it will feature a presentation by the director of emergency management at NYU Langone Medical Center, which had to evacuate during both Hurricanes Irene and Sandy.

Plenary presentations will focus on resources to use in hospital evacuations, how to develop continuity plans and what the emergency management challenges are. In addition, there will be panel discussions and learning tracks focused on risk reduction and recovery improvement.
