Kentucky Hospital Wins Award for Energy Efficiency

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Ky. has won the 2019 Excellence in Health Care Facility Management Award for its dedication to achieving ENERGY STAR® distinction. The award, presented by the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association, was announced on Tuesday, November 5.

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital achieved its ENERGY STAR® goal after a five year journey. Their efforts included updating all fluorescent lighting to LEDs and installing motion sensors to automatically power down spaces not in use. The savings have been invested back into the hospital to continue providing high quality, reliable and safe patient care.
