Legrand Showcases its Integrated Lighting Controls and Shading Solutions for the Connected Home at CEDIA 2017

Legrand, North & Central America is excited to show CEDIA 2017 visitors the latest innovations in residential lighting and shading solutions from brands Vantage Controls® and QMotion®. QMotion Qadvanced Intelligent System (QIS), Qadvanced with ZigBee HA1.2 shades, and intuitive and feature-rich keypads that comes with the InFusion® automated lighting control system from Vantage are now on display at Legrand Booth #5100. InFusion offers a robust centralized and distributed lighting control platform with capabilities for complete system integration of best-of-category products from QMotion and other manufacturers.

Most importantly, these solutions show what’s possible for integrators and homeowners in today’s connected home. Here are some of the highlights:

Vantage® - adorne® Low-Voltage Keypad

Combining the unique and appealing adorne aesthetic with the power of Vantage’s low voltage keypad technology, this modern intelligent keypad brings homeowners using InFusion system more flexibility and design options. The keypads are available in 1-, 3-, or 6-button configurations and come with Touch, an innovative capacitive touch feature by adorne that turns lights on and off with just a soft touch of the finger. The keypads provide load plus scene-based control and are available in low voltage two-wire bus versions.

EasyTouch II Universal Dimming Station (UDS)

The EasyTouch II Universal Dimming Station (UDS) wall box dimmer controls load, scene, or both load and scene, eliminating the need for separate devices for each capability. This product follows the launch of the award-winning Universal Dimming Module and is built using the same adaptive phase technology. The UDS is powered by the local line feed and replaces a standard high voltage wall switch. It is ideal for the most demanding lighting control projects from new construction to remodel or retrofit, and it allows for incremental expansion to accommodate almost any design or budget.

InFusion LiteTouch Retrofit Insert

A very popular solution is the Vantage InFusion LiteTouch Retrofit Kit, which is designed to easily fit into a LiteTouch®/Savant® enclosure. It can house up to three separate control modules or up to 36 loads per enclosure. This insert features module locking mechanisms for improved in-field plug-and-play installation and service, allowing modules to be quickly replaced without affecting load connections to the system. The Vantage lighting system is compatible with Savant so the same user experience can be maintained.

QMotion shading solutions

Also on display are multiple window treatments and shading solutions from QMotion that can easily integrate into the connected home and lighting controls systems. Products on display include the

Qadvanced Intelligent System hardwired shades, that are controlled by Vantage’s UDS and the Qadvanced with ZigBee HA1.2 battery operated shades controlled by the radiant® RF Lighting Control system from On-Q. In addition, QMotion shows its QdR wireless remotes and line of Qadvanced Roller Shades, including the dual rollers, which support a blackout shade and decorative sheer shade on one set of brackets.

QMotion delivers simple and sophisticated automated shade solutions that offer both ease of use and dependability for new construction or retrofit installations. This is coupled with one-of-a-kind patented manual override technology that allows for full flexibility and safety in residential shading control.

“In the world of Internet of Things and the smart home, it is all about wireless control and seamless interoperability between systems such as lighting, shading, and home automation,” said Mark Moody, Product Manager at Vantage Controls. “We’re showing some great examples of this, including full software integration between QMotion and the Vantage lighting system to bring unmatched control to bundled artificial and natural lighting systems.”
