MEDSEEK to become influence health

Birmingham, AL, – MEDSEEK today announced that it is changing the company name to “Influence Health” to reflect its ongoing success in delivering healthcare’s only integrated digital consumer engagement and activation platform.  The Influence Health platform uniquely enables providers to positively influence consumer choice, brand loyalty and health-behaviors—well beyond the physical care setting—through personalized and interactive multi-channel engagement.

In 2011, the company committed to a three-year strategy to deliver a comprehensive digital engagement and activation platform that enables providers to guide consumer decision making and influence health-behaviors in all phases of the healthcare experience.  Core to that vision was the notion that the path to success for healthcare requires an integrated and thoughtful approach to persistent digital influence.

In late 2013, the company announced the acquisition of SymphonyCare, a sophisticated population health management technology that enables providers, employers and payers to identify and manage low-, rising- and high-risk patients. And at the company’s annual client conference in May, 2014, they announced a significant investment in a next-generation analytics-powered CRM platform to help marketers find at-risk or undertreated patients, inform them of their options and connect them with appropriate life changing treatments and interventions.

“The evolution from MEDSEEK to Influence Health comes at a pivotal moment in our company’s history,” said Peter Kuhn, CEO.  “This month we deliver two new, powerful, pre- and post-acute engagement solutions, fully integrated into our Influence platform technology stack. And we will release new versions of each of our major digital marketing and clinical applications before year end.”

The Road Ahead

Consumerism, payment reform and new risk sharing models are changing the game for healthcare providers, requiring them to extend their reach beyond the walls of the care environment to help consumers choose a quality provider, live a healthier lifestyle, make more informed treatment decisions, and better self-manage their chronic conditions.

Kyra Hagan, SVP of Product Management & Marketing, commented, “Influence Health responds to the value we create for our clients in the context of the new healthcare environment in which they must operate. It encompasses the qualities that identify who we are and differentiates what we do from our competitors.”

In other industries—finance, retail, and manufacturing—a distinct customer-oriented platform has emerged to complement the backend systems that automate the industries.  Healthcare will be no different; and providing that innovative technology platform to healthcare—a rich, functional and integrated engagement layer that brings providers and patients together—has always been core to Influence Health.

“Engaging consumers through hospital web portals and online access to health records is a great start, but extending these platforms into consumers’ daily routines through intelligent and interactive digital communications is what will shape consumers’ choices and health-behaviors in a way that is transformative to financial and quality outcomes. Activation is what’s needed to transform healthcare, and that’s our mission going forward,” commented Hagan.

Kuhn concluded, “The work we are doing at Influence Health is groundbreaking. It contributes to the betterment of real people—our families, our friends and our communities—which places a higher purpose on what we do. With this in mind, the new brand presence reflects our values and mission, which are the cornerstone of our culture—one in which our people demonstrate integrity and respect, as well as energy and enthusiasm for innovation and teamwork. Influence Health is focused on where the healthcare market is today and where it will be tomorrow.”
