MaxLite introduces LED post top retrofit lamp for outdoor lighting

WEST CALDWELL, N.J. – Transforming existing inefficient fixtures into energy efficient lighting with improved efficacy and lower maintenance costs, MaxLite® has introduced the LED Post Top Retrofit Lamp as a replacement for traditional metal halide or high-pressure sodium light sources. MaxLite has designed this new LED lamp for post-top outdoor lighting applications in parks, corporate and school campuses, airports, municipalities, site, area and street lighting applications.

“Our LED Post Top Retrofits open new possibilities for MaxLite in the outdoor lighting market,” said Vice President of Product Marketing and Engineering Pat Treadway. “These LED lamps offer significant energy and maintenance savings for lighting public spaces, and are really a ‘must see’ product for cityscape planners and pedestrian traffic professionals.”

The 36-watt LED Post Top Retrofit Lamp is available in a cool 6500K correlated color temperature (CCT) and delivers a 360-degree optical design to provide even light distribution in all directions. The LED Lamp is constructed with color-matched LEDs that ensure high performance and optimal color consistency. The sealed body is constructed of aluminum to provide thermal protection and effective transfer of heat from the LEDs for extended life. Compared to a 100-watt HID lamp that consumes 115-watts, the Post Top LED Lamp reduces energy maintenance costs by $630 throughout its lifetime, offering a payback in less than three and a half years.

The LED lamp is offered in medium and mogul bases, with additional CCT models available upon request. The driver is constructed using premium components and is suitable to be used in ambient temperatures of up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The Post Top retrofit lamp is cULus listed for use in enclosed fixtures.
