Mayo Clinic food service co-worker stabs co-worker in cafeteria

The employee cafeteria closed during investigation


A food service employee at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., stabbed a co-worker four times in the hospital’s employee cafeteria, according to an article on the Campus Safety website.

The man was taken into custody by Mayo security after the incident.  The victim was identified as his estranged wife. They are both food service employees working at Mayo.

The employee cafeteria is currently closed as police continue to investigate.

The victim’s injuries were described as being non-life threatening and she is expected to survive.
