Mayo Food Service workers leaving amid talks, protests as negotiations continue over Mayo Clinic’s outsourcing plans, according to an article on the ABC6 website.
Earlier this year, Mayo announced it would be outsourcing almost 700 jobs.
“A lot of people left. And only a select few stayed and have been trying to cover for everybody who had left,” a former employee said.
While there have been some Rochester food service employees who have left Mayo, it is important to note that many more have remained and taken other jobs within Mayo Clinic. Mayo has been successful in replacing those who have left and continues to fill open positions, according to a hospital statement.
