Mayo Clinic has presented a plan to SEIU's food service workers as part of its pending transition to Morrison Healthcare later this year, according to an article on the Post Bulletin website.
Union members will vote on the proposal Jan. 12-13.
It's the first proposal Mayo has offered union members since the proposed move was announced.
According to an SEIU press release, the upcoming vote will cover about 500 union members in Rochester and Albert Lea. The Sodexo employees who voted to join SEIU in October will not be eligible to take part in the upcoming vote. Instead, separate negotiations will be done on their behalf.
