Shore Medical Center at Chestertown project will create improved line of sight to beds from a more central work station

Shore Medical Center at Chestertown, Md., is being renovated to create an improved line of sight to beds from a more central work station, according to an article on the My Eastern Shore MD website.

The renovation project will not affect the total number of hospital beds. The more open plan and the relocated central nursing station will enable nurses on the floor to provide care to all patients more safely and efficiently.

The project includes the creation of a more modern nursing and physicians station.

The renovation also includes the addition of a private bathroom in a patient room that can be used to isolate those with airborne and ceiling-mounted equipment for safe patient lifting  will be installed in two rooms.
