Infection-control experts are investigating multiple possible cases of Legionnaires' disease at three hospitals in Genesee County and one hospital in Washtenaw County, according to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and county health officials.
One case of Legionnaires' has been confirmed as having a definite healthcare association with St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Hospital in Washtenaw County. The three hospitals in Genesee County under investigation are McLaren Flint Hospital, Genesys Regional Medical Center (Ascension Genesys) in Grand Blanc and Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
