Missouri healthcare facilities ban Pokemon Go on campuses

One hospital specifically requested employees cease trying to 'catch 'em all' while at work

The two main health systems in Springfield, Mo., are asking people to stop playing Pokemon Go on their campuses — and one hospital specifically requested employees cease trying to "catch 'em all" while at work, according to an article on the News-Leader website.

Mercy Springfield Communities has had a number of staff and members of the public use the app while on the system's campuses, causing them to be marked as popular PokeStop locations on the game.

System officials say they are seeing an upswing in the activity of this nature after hours when many locations are not fully staffed and operating, putting a strain on safety and security.

A post on Springfield's local Reddit page says Mercy Springfield's campus has four pokestops and a gym.
