NFMT event to include seminar on ASHRAE codes, standards and guidelines

The 2018 National Facilities Management & Technology event offers three full days of education, speakers, networking with peers, and a giant expo hall. All for free.

This year's National Facilities Management & Technology (NFMT) event will include a seminar on ASHRAE codes, standards and guidelines.

When ASHRAE speaks, building operators listen. After all, the association helps form many of the key building management practices in place today. But is compliance with an ASHRAE code mandatory? What about a standard, or a guideline? This session, presented by an ASHRAE instructor, will clarify the sometimes confusing issues regarding codes, standards and guidelines issues by the association, and provide a deeper understanding of how to document compliance.

Learning objectives:

1. Understand what goes into an ASHRAE Code is
2. Identify the purpose of an Industry Standard
3. Review reasons for developing Industry Guidelines
4. Determine how to document Compliance

The session, scheduled for March 20 at 10:00 a.m. (EST), will be given by Stephen W. Nicholas, President of Air Industries, Inc.

The event will be held in Baltimore on March 20-22, 2018.

Check out the NFMT website for more information.
