NFMT event to include seminar on the IoT

The 2018 National Facilities Management & Technology event offers three full days of education, speakers, networking with peers, and a giant expo hall. All for free.

This year's National Facilities Management & Technology (NFMT) event will include a seminar on IoT— is your facility ready?

The Internet of Things (IoT) has the ability to transform facility management. By utilizing technology to improve reliability, efficiency, and operational continuity, facility managers can better handle the increasing complexity of buildings. IoT helps merge legacy systems with future expansions, maintain aging infrastructure, and improve reporting and compliance capabilities. To deliver on these promises facilities need to be prepared to handle the estimated 26 billion ‘smart things’ which will be installed by 2020. In this session learn about IoT trends that impact facility management, the limitations of current technology, and how IoT can yield financial benefits for an organization.

1. Learn about use cases for IoT technology and the challenges of adoption
2. Learn how to utilize IoT data
3. Learn how IoT data yields financial benefits for their organization
4. Learn what it takes to implement an IoT solution into their facility

The session, scheduled for March 21 at 10:00 a.m. (EST), will be given by Duane Kobayashi, Chief Strategy & IP Officer at Senseware.

The event will be held in Baltimore on March 20-22, 2018.

Check out the NFMT website for more information.
