Extra staff sent to six major hospitals to ensure cleaning, maintenance and catering services keep operating

The UK's NHS has launched emergency contingency plans across 14 hospital trusts to maintain essential services previously delivered by collapsed contractor Carillion, according to an article on the Independent website.
