NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is celebrating the hospital’s opening of its new Center for Community Health, a state-of-the-art ambulatory care facility in Park Slope, according to Healthcare Construction+Operations. The venue was designed by Perkins Eastman and is pursuing a LEED Silver rating.
The 400,000-square-foot facility houses 12 operating rooms for ambulatory surgery, a surgical prep and recovery space, a central sterile services department, a cancer center with a compounding pharmacy, and a pre-anesthesia evaluation area. The Center for Community Health also features state-of-the-art suites for gastroenterology and endoscopy, multispecialty medical and surgical services, and a diagnostic imaging center that includes PET-CT and MRI modalities.
It has a valet-staffed parking facility, a grab-and-go cafe, a conference center, and sky lobby waiting areas.
