New certifications and manual available for healthcare security officers

New versions incorporate latest research and trends


The International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety is offering two new certification exams and a new edition to its training manual for healthcare security officers, according to an article on the Campus Safety website.

The 2016 Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) Certification Examination is for management-level healthcare security professionals.

The new Basic Certification Examination includes many new items that ensure “all questions were reflective of the basic knowledge and skills required for a healthcare security officer." 

The 6th Edition of the Basic Training Manual for Healthcare Security Officers includes the latest research and trends in the field of healthcare security.
