Chicago's Northwestern Memorial Hospital adds a fine-dining restaurant to the 18th floor of its outpatient pavilion, according to an article on the Hospitals and Health Networks website.
The food and drink at GreenRiver has drawn praise from local and national press after opening in September.
Northwestern Medicine's Gina Weldy, vice president of real estate, said the restaurant and other retail shops on the ground floor of the building, have been a hit with hospital employees, patients and visitors.
“It has changed the feel in the public space,” Weldy said in the article. “There is a bit more energy now. One of the most important services hospitals provide is to give comfort to its guests, and this has been successful in doing that.”
