St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital expansion designed to meet the changing needs of patients and their families


Oklahoma's St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital is tripling its square footage, but adding no beds with an expansion designed to meet the changing needs of patients and their families, according to an article on The Shawnee News-Star website.

The new 119,000-square-foot tower is designed to house a women’s center, intensive care unit and inpatient surgery.

The large patient rooms –– almost triple the current space ––will feature flat-screen televisions and large windows.

The second-floor will have an enhanced security process that includes a new baby monitoring system.
