The CHI Franciscan St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Ore., boasts a healing garden built on the natural landscape with boulder outcroppings, native plants and an active stream. according to the "Last Detail" feature on the Health Facilities Management website.
The facility was built on a 92-acre greenfield site that included a 150-foot grade change.
A pathway, free of steps or stairs, facilitates greater mobility for visitors to the garden and creates a softer approach to the hospital, the article said.
