Owensboro Health breaks ground on the new One Health outpatient facilities

Owensboro Health and CBRE Healthcare are proud to announce the groundbreaking of the new state-of-the-art One Healthplex outpatient facilities. The event took place on Tuesday, June 28th and was open to the public. Three locations broke ground during the celebration in Henderson, Madisonville and Muhlenberg.

Over the next 18 months, the health
system will construct three new health care centers in Western Kentucky. The $65 million project will see new facilities opened in Henderson, Hopkins, and Muhlenberg counties – with some buildings to exceed 40,000 square feet. These outpatient facilities will offer primary and urgent care, specialty services, outpatient testing, patient education and wellness care.

In the first quarter of 2016, Owensboro Health extended their relationship with CBRE to provide on-site Planning, Project Management and Facility Activation services for Owensboro Health’s urgent care clinics throughout Kentucky.

CBRE will serve as Client Advisor to Owensboro Health providing services including; project planning, execution, and monitoring. The project will be completed in four phases:

  • Phase I: Project Launch
  • Phase II: Design and Preconstruction
  • Phase III: Construction and Occupancy
  • Phase IV: Post Occupancy and Close-Out

“Owensboro Health and CBRE have been partners for over 8 years,” stated Tim McCurley, Director of Project Management for CBRE. “During this time, we have delivered a world-class Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) Regional Hospital together and have planned for future repurposing of aging facilities. As our partnership continues to grow, we could not be any more excited to be a part of the strategic growth of Owensboro Health, starting with these urgent care clinics.”

The overall program schedule targets completion of all projects by the end of December 2017.
