PDI Bolsters Momentum with New Leadership Appointments and Growth Plans

PDI, a leader in infection prevention products and solutions, announces the appointments of Chris Puricelli to the newly formed role as Vice President of Strategy for PDI’s Infection Prevention Business Unit, and new hire Elise Tordella to fill his former position as Vice President of Marketing for PDI Healthcare. Both roles will support the company’s growth by expanding its breadth of existing capabilities and further elevating the company as a leading resource in the fight against preventable infections.

In his new role, Chris will focus on PDI’s acquisition strategies, licensing opportunities, portfolio management decisions and inorganic growth activities. Managing the growing business strategy team, Chris will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic plans in high growth market segments and ensure that PDI investments align with core objectives.

“2016 has been a year of great growth for us, both on the product and talent side,” said Puricelli. “I’m excited by the momentum and looking forward to narrowing my focus in order to expand opportunities to better serve our customers, partners and the industry as a whole.”

Industry veteran, Elise Tordella will now lead the product and marketing team. A well-respected, highly collaborative leader, Elise is expertly equipped to drive revenue and profitability enhancement for PDI through disciplined execution of marketing strategies. Elise formerly served in various senior executive roles at Fresenius, NxStage Medical and Covidien, establishing more than 25 years of experience in multiple segments of the healthcare industry.

“These appointments signify a major growth milestone for our business and also a continued commitment to our mission and responsibility to bring effective and efficient solutions to the industry,” said Matt Gattuso, President, PDI Infection Prevention. “Both Chris and Elise maintain impressive track records and strong passions for building high performing teams that create transformational solutions for the patients, clinicians and partners who rely on PDI to assist in the elimination of preventable infections and cross contamination. We are confident that their appointments and the new organizational focus will advance PDI’s strategic vision.”

Earlier this year, PDII welcomed Matthew Gattuso as Executive Vice President, PDII and President, PDI Infection Prevention. The burgeoning clinical team also announced the appointments of Keith St. John to Vice President of Clinical Affairs and Debra Hagberg to Director of Clinical Affairs.
