PDI announces call for entries for second annual Delivering the Difference contest

PDI, a leader in infection prevention products and solutions, today announced the launch of its second annual Delivering the Difference contest, which recognizes industry professionals that display excellence in building collaborative relationships between infection prevention and environmental services teams in healthcare facilities.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, about 1 in every 25 inpatients has an infection related to hospital admission at any given time, leading to thousands of lost lives and billions of dollars spent by the U.S. healthcare system unnecessarily. PDI will again share one winning story to demonstrate how collaboration can improve outcomes and patient satisfaction while reducing unnecessary illness and costs.

2016 Delivering the Difference Contest

This year's grand prize winning applicant(s) will receive a trip to the 2016 APIC Annual Conference and the 2016 AHE Exchange, as well as an opportunity to share their success story at these events.

Additionally, following a successful first year, PDI released its 2015 Delivering the Difference Case Study Report to continue to share practical, transferable solutions for continued prevention. The report highlights the most outstanding cases around the country that exemplify effective collaboration between infection preventionists and environmental services professionals.
