Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida welcomed its first patients in September 2018 within a state-of-the-art, nine-story facility along San Marco Boulevard. The center includes a parking garage structure, outfitted with architectural wire mesh screening from Banker Wire. The M31Z-6 wire mesh was specified for its durability, strength, and simplicity in design for a panelized framing system on the exterior of this building. The wire mesh pattern serves a dual function for the garage, providing security and improved ventilation, aiding in protecting the contents of parking garages while allowing air and light to flow freely through the space. Each mesh panel showcases M31Z-6’s sleek yet large-scale, triple-shute architectural weave that utilizes a nearly straight triple warp wire. The end result is a series of sophisticated stainless steel mesh panels, that contrasts the smooth concrete and modern wood paneling of the industrial parking structure.
